Dallas Dream Team Membership
What Does it Mean to be a Member of the Dallas Dream Team?
Very simply, we are a large and growing group of Christian women “investors” who have a heart for helping “the least of these” in the Dallas area, and who enjoy meeting and working side by side with other Christian women.
Our Founder, Liz Morris
Our founder and leader, Liz Morris, is someone with a true heart for the Lord, and a genuine, giving spirit. Like a magnet, she attracts others with a similar giving heart and spirit. And the “movement” she has created is catching on and growing.
Members
The women who join the Dallas Dream Team are from all areas of the Dallas Metroplex and represent all religious denominations, races, vocations, and backgrounds. What we do share is a love for the Lord and a giving spirit.
How Can I Learn More?
We host a number of small group coffees, teas, luncheons and other events in order to for potential members to learn more and meet other members. Check out the Events Calendar to see upcoming events you may be interested in attending!
What Do Members Do?
Once you become a member, you will be added to the member roster and distribution list. And you’ll be invited to attend a number of different events and opportunities.
Here is just a sample calendar of the major events held each year:
February
All Dream Team Member Meeting – To kick off the annual cycle, provide information/updates, launch various Committees/Teams and of course get to know new members!!
May
Final Four Event – All members are invited to attend a session to meet and hear from the top four agencies under consideration for the upcoming grant season.
June
Member Appreciation Coffee – All members are invited to attend an event specifically to recognize and thank the contribution each makes to the Dallas Dream Team throughout the year.
August
Site Visits – During August, all members are invited to attend site visits to each of the four “finalist” agencies under consideration for a grant award. After the four site visits, members will be asked to vote on the agency most deserving of a major grant.
November
Fall Awards Banquet – All members, donors, and agencies under consideration will be invited to attend an event to showcase the work our finalist agencies are doing for Dallas and announce the Grant awards for the year.
What is Required to Join?
All that is required for DDT membership is a heart for the Lord, and the commitment to contribute an annual financial gift, as outlined below. You can join anytime during the year. We do ask for a 3-year financial commitment to become a member.
And as we generally grow through invitation, our hope is that you will invite other like-minded Christian women to visit us and consider joining.
The point of membership of course is not to be a “member of a club,” but rather to serve as “Kingdom” ambassadors and increase the “funds and hands available” to further help our greater Dallas community.
The need is great, and there are some wonderful Christian Charities doing amazing work in Dallas whose effectiveness can be extended with an additional infusion of funds and expertise.

How Does the Grant Process Work?
The Process: DFW area Christian non-profit organizations can apply each year for a grant through The Dallas Dream Team website. Applications are due no later than March t.
Choosing Finalists
The Dream Team Grant Committee then reviews the applications and chooses the FINAL FOUR NON-PROFIT CANDIDATES.’
Presenting Finalists
Those Final Four candidates share key information about their work during their presentations at our FINAL FOUR EVENT around in May. Attendance at this event is vital for members to get their first impressions of ministries in contention for the grant(s).
On-Site Finalist Visits
In August, Dream Team Members visit each candidate to see them in action. Nothing compares to seeing these charities in action. Again, attendance at On-Site Visits is of vital importance for members who will be voting on which non-profit will receive the grant.
